Meet Preston Poore

I’ve spent 30 years leading in Fortune 500 companies like The Coca-Cola Company, The Hershey Company, and Ralston Purina—learning what works (and what doesn’t). Along the way, I realized leadership isn’t about titles, endless meetings, or playing it safe. It’s about how you lead, not just what you accomplish.

I started Preston Poore & Associates to help leaders grow faster and smarter—without the trial-and-error. My keynotes, training, and coaching combine real-world experience, practical tools, and yes, some spectacular failures—so you get less theory and more action.

I care about leadership because I care about leaders. Especially those who are new, ambitious, and want to grow without spinning their wheels. That’s why I serve on the Samford University Brock School of Business Advisory Board, helping shape the next generation of business minds. I’ve also served on the Numerica Corporation Board, guiding strategic growth before the company’s sale.

Beyond corporate leadership, I believe how you lead matters more than what you accomplish. My work as a Colson Fellow and a board member for Christ Led Communities (CLC) reflects my passion for aligning faith and leadership in ways that create real impact.

I’m a Certified Maxwell Leadership Team Speaker, Trainer, and Executive Coach who helps leaders develop confidence, lead with integrity, and build teams that thrive. I host the P3 Podcast, where I break down leadership lessons, interview industry experts, and share practical strategies (without the corporate jargon). I’m also the author of:

  • Discipled Leader – An award-winning guide to integrating faith and leadership.
  • 21 Days to Sound Decision Making – A practical devotional for making wise choices.

Currently, I’m writing How>What: The Unexpected Source of Transformative Leadership—a book that challenges leaders to focus on how they lead, not just what they do.

When I’m Not Doing This…

You’ll find me traveling, staying active, and laughing at my own jokes with my wife in the Metro Atlanta Area.
